Authentic Guidance For Application Essays

Application essays, arguably, form the most important part of the application package. Correct message needs to be conveyed to the admission committee in a concise & effective manner.

My philosophy for this guidance is to help each applicant in presenting his candidacy to a global university in the strongest possible way.

There are two ways in which I help:

1. Essay Editing (Recommended)
   
2. Essay Writing
   

Essay Editing:
I recommend this option because I believe that it is 'correct' for an applicant to write his own essays and limit professional help to guidance and editing.

After an applicant enrols with me....

• I go through his resume and have a 30 minute tele-conversation to understand his profile.
  
• Give feedback on whether his choice of universities is correct. If not, I help him in short-listing universities.
  
• I make the applicant understand the correct basic theme that he must convey through his essays.
  
• I formulate a basic structure for the essays.
  
• The applicant writes essays and sends them to me.
  
• I edit the essay from- structural, lingual, grammatical, content, and connotation point of view.
  
• The applicant goes through the edited essays, makes any last changes that he wants to and mails them back to me.
  
• I scan the essays for one last time, make cosmetic changes, and mail the final copy back to the applicant.
  

Essay Writing:
Although I don't recommend this, it's often a necessary evil.
After an applicant enrols with me...

• I go through his resume and have a 30 minute tele-conversation to understand his profile.* Give feedback on whether his choice of universities is correct. If not, I help him in short-listing universities.
  
• I write the essays and send them across to the applicant. Simple! :)
  

Charges:

Essay Editing:
For those residing in India: INR 1100 per Essay.
For those residing outside India: USD 50 per Essay.
One has to opt for at least 5 essays at a time.

Essay Writing:
For those residing in India: INR 3300 per Essay.
For those residing outside India: USD 100 per Essay.
One can opt for even one essay.

* What is the turn-around time?
Maximum:
2 Days per Essay for editing.
3 Days per Essay for writing.

* Can one opt for getting few essays written and few edited?
Yes.

* Any discounts?
Sorry. Rates are standardized.

* Are essays for all type of applications viz. MBA/MS/PhD/DBA edited?
Yes.

* What if the first draft of essay from applicant is really bad?
In such a case, I give few tips/suggestions and ask the applicant to write again. If the problem persists, I write the essay and charges for essay writing are applicable.

* A free sample essay?
Sorry. Don't have so much time. Every essay takes me hours of continuous deliberation. One needs to enrol before I start editing the essay. However, if the quality of first essay is not satisfactory from the applicant's point of view, money would be refunded. That has never happened.

* A sample of previous--->later essay of previous applicant?
Sorry. Essays are very personal in nature and I promise complete confidentiality of the students.

* Can one call/chat to discuss concerns regarding essays and other application related issues?
Yes. For no extra charge.
